Most wedding receptions use soft or dim light to set a mood. If you choose a videographer with a smaller video camera, it probably uses a 1/3" chip which will not work well in low light scenarios. About Us
We are a creative husband and wife team (Sheldon & Shauna) that specialize in artistic wedding photography and videography around the Calgary, Alberta area. We really enjoy getting to know our couples and creatively capturing the photographs and video. This is your special day and a big part of your day will be with your photographers!
It is very important for us to meet with the wedding couple to discuss the exciting events of the day and to get to know one another better. Commonly, we meet for a coffee, discuss the exciting events of the day and in the process get to know one another.
For bookings, we take a 50% deposit to secure the day and we set up a time for the engagement photo shoot. These shoots are casual and fun! The artistic energy is flowing and we capture beautiful engagement photos of our couples. We provide all original engagement pictures on disk for the couple and proceed with printing the chosen engagement photo and dry mounting it for a memorable piece of art. Typically, our wedding couples choose to have their guests sign this large print at the reception for a very memorable keepsake.
It is beneficial for our team to be present at the wedding rehearsal. Meeting family and friends and learning the ceremony plans allow us to position ourselves to capture all important moments of your ceremony. We also bring a camera to the rehearsal to ensure we capture some of the moments of this exciting day.
The day of your wedding, we come prepared sporting multiple camera bodies, lenses, video camera(s), lighting, reflectors .... On our full day shoots, Shauna meets with the bride in the morning to capture the memories of the girls getting ready. Sheldon provides video setup at the ceremony location and meets with the guys to capture a few shots. During the ceremony, we will capture stills and video from multiple angles to ensure we have captured the precious moments of your day.
After the ceremony, we provide family photos of your choice. After family photos are completed, we typically travel to locations where we can do some creative photo work with the couple and the wedding party. This is fun and is where you will see us as artists in action.
